The Survey Chromatography Data Workstation is a general-purpose chromatography software independently developed and produced by Saizhi Technology. It took more than two years from development to market launch. Through market feedback and continuous improvement, the Survey software has become mature and stable.

In order to better serve customers, Saizhi Technology has collected and organized some of the problems encountered by customers during use, and provided the following usage instructions here, hoping to be helpful to everyone.

Basic Operations of Survey Chromatography Data Workstation (Compliance Settings of Computer)

1、 Classify computer permissions;

Taking Windows 7 as an example:

Click on "Start" in the bottom left corner of the computer, then click on "Control Panel" ->"User Accounts" ->"Add or Remove User Accounts" ->click on "Create a New Account" ->fill in the name of the account you want to register, check the type of account you want to register ->click on "Create Account" ->click on the account you just registered ->click on "Create Password" ->enter the password you want to set, and then click on "Create Password"; You can complete the creation of the computer account.

2、 Prohibit modifying system time;

Log in to the system as a system administrator, open "Start" - "Run", enter "gpedit. msc" in the run input box, enter the "Group Policy" settings interface, expand "Computer Configuration" ->"Windows Settings" ->"Security Settings" ->"Local Policy" ->"User Rights Allocation", then select "Change System Time", delete the users that need to be disabled, and click "Apply" to confirm. After setting up, the computer needs to be restarted for the settings to take effect. After restarting the computer, when logging into the corresponding user account and executing the command to modify the time, it will prompt: "Cannot continue, you do not have the permission to perform this operation. Please contact the computer administrator for assistance.

3、 Permission settings for data folders;

In order to ensure the security of the DAT folder on the local hard drive, it is necessary to perform security settings on this folder. Firstly, it is necessary to confirm that the computer's file system is NTFS. NTFS replaces the old FAT file system and provides long file names, data protection, and recovery. Security is achieved through directory and folder permissions. On NTFS partitions, access permissions can be set for shared resources, folders, and files.

1. Method to determine NTFS file system: Hard drive → Right click → Properties

2. After confirming that the computer is NTFS, find the DAT folder in the installation directory of the Survey software. Taking WIN7 as an example, explain the setting method: right-click on Properties ->Security ->Advanced ->Change Permissions ->Select Verified  Users → Edit → Check the rejection of deleting subfolders and files, and deleting two items as shown in the following figure:

3. Confirm the application, then click OK to close the property interface. After setting up, when deleting DAT folders and files, a prompt will appear: You need permission to perform this operation, as shown in the figure:

At this point, the security properties of the folder have been set, ensuring the security of the files.
